NEWS: Atlanta Received Major Flooding 9/2009
The following was received 9/12/2008 in an email:
Mike & Cheryl Bernard - Testimony given at an SDA Church in Atlanta, GA.
(Click Picture -- Video is over 1 hour long, but be sure to listen to it all. Not a dream, but they claim God spoke to them during personal worship time about moving to the country and Atlanta being destroyed.)
Looking for confirmation of their home selling and their move to Indiana and the fulfillment of the prediction that Atlanta will be destroyed. Latest update below received by email on 07/24/2008:
I spoke with their friend last week and she told me that they did not sell the house yet. They moved to Indianapolis and their house is for sale with his company's real estate agency. Cheryl was very discouraged that their house did not sell in 3 days, but she said God did not tell her from when to count 3 days and they still trust God and moved.

Pastor ----,
I am from the ------ SDA Church and someone sent me a link to a recent Vesper service that was held at your Church by Mike and Cheryl Bernard on May 10, 2008. I am sure you know the obvious question here. Can you give me a follow-up on their leading from the Lord? Did they in fact sell their house in 3 Days, etc. It would be nice if you would put up some kind of follow-up on your Church web site. There are many people asking for confirmation of the sell of their home and their move to Indiana.
I live in the Atlanta Area and would love to know more.
Thanks for your response.
Regards,
JRC

Update regarding Mike & Cheryl which was received on 9/16/2008:
Dear Friends,
We wanted to let everyone know about the sale of our house. We are praising God for selling our house and staying true to His word. (Isaiah 55:11 - so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it).
We know that many are wondering about the timing of the sale of our house. We are writing to share how we believe that the Lord fulfilled His promise. He said not to worry, that He would sell our house in three days. Initially, we thought He meant from the time we listed it, but that was not the case, as many of you know from our prior email.
We began working with a relocation company (provided by my company) who was selling our house and coordinating our move for us which was an answer to prayer in itself. God blessed us more than we could ever imagine. We had never sold a house and we now realize how intense it is. It had been 9 years and 3 kids since our last move and we had accumulated lots of "things." We had some issues that came up during the sale of our home that would normally cause someone to worry.
The buyer insisted that the windows had to be replaced and it was non-negotiable. Unfortunately, the company we chose did an extremely sloppy job. This was all done while we were out of town. When we came to move we noticed this problem just two days before the buyer scheduled the final walk through. God worked it out by making it a non-issue with the buyer. They even agreed to fix it themselves.
A title search showed that there was still an open loan on the title from 2 owners ago. The title company attempted to contact the attorney who handled the close, but his line was disconnected. In contacting the prior owner, it was discovered that it was a loan between him and his now deceased father. After he mentioned he would take care of the situation, he stopped answering/returning calls. We were told that this would hold up the sale unless it was resolved. All of this came up about a week before we closed. Once again God is so amazing! We received an email right before our close that everything was taken care of and we were clear to close. With the stress of moving out of the house and other things happening, we began to wonder if this sale was going to happen or if God was shutting the door.
We had not even received the contract from the relocation company to sign in order to sell our house. After several calls requesting the contract from the closing company, we finally received it. We were able to sign it and email back the next day. (We signed the contract to sell our house 3 days before it closed)
As you can see, we were put in many situations that gave us the opportunity to doubt or put our trust in God. This quote gave us strength.
Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith. {Steps to Christ p.105}
The Lord gave us plenty of evidence to show He was leading in this process. He is so gracious to provide each one of us evidence in order to strengthen our faith.
We continue to pray that in the days to come, we will hold fast to our faith and seek His guidance in our lives. If we do, He will be faithful and guide us.
Those who place themselves under God's control, to be led and guided by Him, will catch the steady tread of the events ordained by Him to take place.--7T 14
As most of you know, we felt led by God to move up here to Indiana. Each day we realize what a blessing God gave us by providing us a way up here. We are so thankful for the quieter setting of the country and the opportunity to enjoy God's nature more freely. Our boys are growing rapidly and we have begun a ministry with them that will hopefully plant seeds for the Holy Spirit to harvest. Please pray for us all as we continue to pray for you. Jesus is coming soon and we want to spend eternity with Him together with you.
May we all claim Hebrews 12:2 each day "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God!" Hallelujah!
God Blessings upon you,
Mike, Cheryl, Aaron, Benjamin & Isaac Bernard
